The Vienna Trombone Ensemble

Contact / Social
Founded in 2013, the Vienna Trombone Ensemble consists of six members. However, depending on the program, their virtuosic original arrangements allow for flexible formations—from duos and trios to the full sextet, occasionally including piano.
The ensemble is devoted to the soft, rich Viennese sound, a subtle art that comes naturally to trombonists thanks to the expressive possibilities of the slide. All musicians are either members of prestigious Austrian orchestras or acclaimed freelance artists.
Their extensive repertoire spans from Baroque and Classical to contemporary music, featuring a wide range of instruments: baroque trombones, alto trombones, alto and tenor horns, bass trumpets, and even the cimbasso
