Tuba player, born 1971. Graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM), where he studied tuba, the third course in instrumental music (tuba) and the third course in chamber music. While in France, he performed with contemporary music ensembles such as Ensemble Ictus and Ensemble Intercontemporain, and as an extra with the Orchestre National de France, as well as appearing in Jacques Louboutier's Theatre Music, Festival Agora and Resonance 2003 (IRCAM), mainly in contemporary music. Since 2001, he has participated as an instructor in the 'Akiyoshidai Summer' contemporary music seminar, and since returning to Japan in 2005 has performed at the Suntory Music Foundation Summer Festival 2008, 2010, 2016, Composium 2009 and other music festivals, as well as the Tokyo Opera City recital series 'B→C', He appeared as soloist in HIROSHIMA HAPPY NEW EAR 19. She also performs in the field of ancient music on the Serpan and Offikrade instruments, and was unanimously awarded first prize by the jury at the Avant-Senne (France) in 2002. In the same year she won the second prize at the 5th Contemporary Music Performance Competition (organised by the Japan Contemporary Music Society) and the Special Prize (Improvisation) at the Gaudeamus International Contemporary Music Performance Competition (Netherlands) in 2003. Active in the duo 'Bass Duo' with Takashi Matsudaira and the contemporary music ensemble 'Tokyo Gen-on Project'.
