Trombonist with Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – The Original
Hubert Hegele is a versatile German bass trombonist with classical training from the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. Influenced by his teachers Frank Greiner and Andreas Kraft, he gained early orchestral experience, including with the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival Orchestra (since 1986) and at theaters in Stuttgart, Kassel, and Ulm. With his ensemble “Hegele’s BigBrass,” he showcases stylistic diversity from early music to jazz. Since 2002, he has been active in Stuttgart musical productions and plays in big bands such as that of Hugo Strasser. In 2010, he became a member of Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – Das Original, significantly shaping the ensemble’s signature sound. Since 1999, Hegele has taught at the Schwäbisch Gmünd Music School, successfully mentoring young talents. As a lecturer, he regularly leads workshops. His career combines artistic excellence with pedagogical dedication – across all genres of brass music.
